If you have not started using InboxAlly, the main panel will show the Guided Setup steps, which is not covered here. Here we will focus on the standard setup approach you will use if adding your first or 100th sender profile. You can also watch this sender profile setup video tutorial.
We suggest following the Guided Setup instead of this reference if you are new to the InboxAlly platform. The steps shown below allow more advanced and custom setup. These steps are also useful if you are adding additional Sender Profiles to your account.
Tell us who you will be sending from
In the left nav bar click on Sender Emails. Any email addresses you will be sending from to our seeds must first be verified. You can do this by clicking Add New Sender Email. After you enter the from-address of the sender email, you need to click on the verification link you will receive in an email from us to that email address. You will notice the emailed you signed up with is already verified to send from but you don't have to use it.
Create a Sender Profile
In the left nav bar click Sender Profiles. A sender profile is used to specify engagement rules for your emails when we receive them. Typically, you should have a separate profile for every email you send from and if you have dedicated IPs, perhaps one for each IP as well.
Click Create Sender Profile and select a from-address from the dropdown list. Enter a friendly name for this profile or use the default name.
Configure engagement rules
Select an engagement rule preset or customize by by altering values in the slider and dials. Then click Apply Instructions.
Download your Seed Emails
In the left nav bar click on Seed Emails. This is where you download our seed emails for you to send to. You can download them all as one file or you can use our range selector. This will let you select a specific contiguous subset and will provide a file aptly named with the range. You can revisit this page and download again at any time you wish.
You may now go ahead and send to all or part of your seed list. Most of your emails will be engaged with within 4 hours after you send. Engagement will start within the first hour. If you navigate to the main dashboard you will notice it is filled with sample data for now. This will go away as your real data starts coming in.
You can monitor your results by clicking on Broadcasts on the left nav bar or in Reports or your dashboard.
